HISTORY by Tony Howe:
This location was first called Tiger. It was renamed Nomac in 1910 which was based on the initials of the railroad, NOM&C. It was renamed again in 1914 to Blodgett, named for Michigan timber speculator John W Blodgett that owned much timberland in the area.
