The Wood-Russ Lumber Company was a partnership composed of W. C. Wood and J. M. Russ. On December 30, 1916 the company bought the sawmill, logging railroad and timber holdings of the Red Lick Lumber Company, at Red Lick, Jefferson County. The sawmill had a cutting capacity of 35,000 feet per day. The mill cut out in 1921.
