HISTORY by Tony Howe:
Parker was a spur on the Mississippi Central Railroad from 1910 to 1948.
There never was much of a community here. According to Brieger it was named
for R. Lee Parker, who owned the Natchez Dressed Beef Co. that used the spur
to ship cattle.
