Plummer Lumber Company, formed in 1897 by Theodore Plummer, of St.
Louis, MO, established a lumber yard at St. Louis and a cypress mill and
yard at Marks, Quitman County, MS. A band mill sawing only poplar was also
operated near Redwood, MS.
