In
the summer of 1910 the Kennedy Heading Company, of Memphis, TN, established
a plant to manufacture sawed heading and lumber at Noxapater, Winston
County. W. M. Kennedy was president of the company.
On
September 14, 1914 the plant, logging railroad and timber holdings were sold
to the Perry-Fraser Lumber Company, of Ellisville, Jones County.
