History by Gil Hoffman: In
February 1902, John H. Gary and F. W. Fatheree purchased the sawmill of the
Reeves-Hopkins Lumber Company, at Lyman, Harrison County. To operate the
property, the Gulf Coast Lumber Company was incorporated at Lyman on May 10,
1902, by John H. Gary and F. W. Fatheree with authorized capital stock of
$50,000. On
April 20, 1906, the entire operation was sold to the Ingram-Day Lumber
Company, of Wisconsin.
