History by Gil Hoffman:

J. E. Brady was sole owner of what was known as the “Beatrice Lumber Mill,” named after his daughter. Beginning operation in the late summer of 1906, the sawmill was of the single circular type and was located on the W. Holliday place, about 3 miles NE of Pachuta. Brady’s timber was from 3 to 7 miles directly east of Pachuta, around Souinlovey Creek. Apparently the mill was connected with the NO&NE by a spur track and the shipping point was known as “Beatrice.” The mill and railroad equipment were advertised for sale in October 1908.
