History by Gil Hoffman:

On October 14, 1911, C. S. Gladden, of Memphis, TN, sold his logging equipment at Gladden Spur to H. D. Glass and Dan Weber. Gladden Spur ran west from Denton Station on the Yazoo & Mississippi Valley Railroad and was in Quitman County. The equipment consisted of one 14-ton Heisler, one Clyde log loader and three tram cars.
