History by Gil Hoffman:

The Gloster Lumber Company was incorporated at Camden, AR on November 28, 1914, with authorized capital stock of $100,000 and paid-in capital stock of $23,000 at the time the company was organized. The incorporators were T. J. Gaughn, C. W. Niehuss, J. T. Sifford, W. H. Hall and W. W. Brown.  At the first Board of Directors meeting, T. J. Gaughn was elected president, J. T. Sifford, vice president and W. H. Hall, secretary and treasurer.

On January 23, 1915, the new company purchased the contract of the Valley Lumber Company covering the lease of the sawmill plant and logging railroad of the W. L. Robinson Lumber Company and the timber obtained by the Valley Lumber Company from the Boutin Timber Company. The purchase price was $100,000.

In 1933 the logging railroad was abandoned and the engines put up for sale. The mill continued to operate afterward, but was logged with trucks.
