H. W. Durant (sometimes spelled "Durrant") is listed as having a sawmill at Coffeeville from 1907 to 1914 in Dun & Bradstreet records. The 1910 American Lumberman Sawmill Equipment Register lists him as having 6 miles of logging railroad.
