History by Tony Howe:

It appears that W. A. Cox and T. J. Barrow purchased the sawmill, logging railroad and timberland of the Smith Lbr. Co. at Darling, Miss. It also appears that T. J. Barrow sold his interest to W. A. Cox in 1913 to form Barrow & Hawkins Lbr. at Dockery, in Sunflower Co. Cox then formed a partnership with L. H. Ellison. The firm of Cox & Ellison also acquired the timberland of the Vanmeter Lbr. Co. by 1913.

Y&MV rail lease dated Mar. 7, 1911.
