History by Gil Hoffman:

In 1914 the Coulson Lumber Company began operating a hardwood band mill at Swiftown, Leflore County. Company headquarters were originally in Memphis, TN, but were moved to Swiftown in the summer of 1915. In May 1920, the company was operating hardwood mills at Tchula and Dockery, MS. In July 1921, the company filed voluntary bankruptcy.
